Paws of the Wolds – Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 13 August 2025
These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Paws of the Wolds (“we”, “our”, “us”) and you (“the client”) for the provision of dog walking and related pet care services. By booking our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

We provide professional dog walking, home visits, and house/pet sitting services as agreed at the time of booking. The length, frequency, and nature of each service will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.

2. Our Commitment

We will provide our services with reasonable care, skill, and attention, always prioritising the welfare and safety of your pet. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK law.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:
-
Provide accurate information about your pet’s behaviour, medical history, and needs.
-
Ensure your dog is microchipped and wearing a collar with an ID tag.
-
Provide a secure lead and any necessary equipment.

4. Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs

We do not accept aggressive dogs. If your dog shows aggressive behaviour towards people or other animals, we reserve the right to end the service immediately. You are responsible for any costs, claims, or damages arising from your dog’s actions.

5. Walking Policy

Dogs will be walked on-lead unless you have provided written consent for off-lead exercise. We will only walk more than two dogs per carer with your prior agreement.

6. Liability

We will take reasonable care in handling your pet, but we are not liable for:
-
Injury, loss, or damage caused by your pet’s behaviour.
-
Any incidents or accidents beyond our reasonable control.
We hold third-party liability insurance, but we recommend you also maintain your own pet insurance.

7. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

In an emergency, we will try to contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, you authorise us to take your pet to a veterinary surgeon. You are responsible for any veterinary fees incurred.

8. Pet Health

We may refuse or cancel a booking if your pet is unwell. If your pet becomes unwell while in our care, we may separate them from other animals and arrange veterinary attention as per clause 7.

9. Keys & Home Access

Keys will be stored securely and labelled without your full address for security purposes. We are not responsible for keys posted through letterboxes or left in locations you request.
We recommend you provide a local emergency contact with a spare key for holiday cover.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

-
You must give more than 24 hours’ notice to cancel a service, or the full fee will still be payable.
-
If we must cancel due to illness, emergencies, or unsafe conditions (e.g., extreme weather), you will not be charged and any pre-paid amounts will be refunded.

11. Payment Terms

-
Payment is due within 7 days of invoice.
-
We accept bank transfer, cheque, or cash (by agreement).
-
Late payments may incur interest and/or administration charges.

12. Data Protection

We will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

13. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to terminate the service at any time if the safety or welfare of your pet, our staff, or others is at risk, or if these terms are not met.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
